Our Board

Andy Roberts
Northampton born and bred, I saw my first Cobblers game in 1972. A journalist and communicator, I was lucky enough to report on the team between 1994 and 2000 which included the club's two appearances at the old Wembley.

Now semi-retired, I operate a private hire company and do some work around business engagement in Northampton. A Trust Life Member, I joined the board in 2015 and became chairman in 2018.

My wish is for the Cobblers to become a stable, sustainable and progressive football club; one which is rooted in its community and which becomes the flagship for a positive and vibrant county town.
Barry Collins
I was one of the Original Founders of the Trust, a Life Member and was the first Treasurer. Oh how we all remember the Exeter Rooms! I have been supporting the Cobblers on our roller coaster ride for over 65 years…..man and boy. I still travel home and away to most games, although Carlisle away on a cold February Tuesday night is more and more difficult with the prospect of getting home about 4 in the morning. I attend the away games on the Trust Bus and would commend that mode of transport…..a great bunch of guys, superb value and a good day guaranteed (well apart from the 90 minutes).
Helen Hickman
I have been the Secretary to the Trust since 2010. My first Cobblers game was way back in 1976 but I did not became a season ticket holder until the move to Sixfields. I am also a regular at away games.

Outside of football, I am an accountant in the NHS and have had various jobs in the public sector including internal audit. This experience I bring to my role for the benefit of the Trust.
Keith Buckby
I was brought up in Finedon, went to school in Wellingborough and attended my first Cobblers game with my Dad about 38 years ago. Like most supporters, I've had amazing highs (Wembley 1997, winning at Anfield) and terrible lows (nearly going out of the league at Chesterfield, nearly going out of business more than once).

I used to write to the late, great Brian Lomax, who showed me the value of never giving up on your club and always trying to ensure the current custodians are doing the right thing for the club and the community. I want the Trust to be seen as more than a last resort whenever the next crisis hits and help supporters work together to gain a financial stake in the club as well as an emotional one.

I work in sales, currently live in Ashby, Leicestershire and watch the Cobblers with my partner and my 14-year-old son, who although born in Portsmouth had no choice about his team!
Kevin O'Brien
Kevin is a season ticket holder and Board member since 2018 and enjoys attending games, home and away with his son James.

Kevin works for a Northampton-based logistics company as a Compliance Manager and as well as football, enjoys photography, reading biographies and takes a keen interest in local politics.

Previously Kevin was involved in non-league football for several seasons as a Club Secretary and has participated on the NFA Discriminatory Panel.
Cheryl Byrne
Now retired from working as a TA at Elizabeth Woodville School in Roade. Football has always been in my life from my first match in my hometown of Watford which happened to be against Cobblers in 1960! Younger years spent following Hornets before moving to Duston over 30 years ago.

I have a daughter and son and two grandsons. We are all Cobblers ST holders and follow them to most away matches. I have been on the Trust Board for many years and believe supporters form the heart of every football club.
Roger Averill
Born and raised in Wollaston, I am a retired Electrician/ Telecoms engineer and I watched my first Cobblers match in 1961. In my first four years of watching the Cobblers, I hardly saw us lose a home match but I’ve made up for that in the following years.

I have been a Season Ticket holder for the last 35 years and was a players sponsor when I was working.

I joined the Trust at the Exeter Rooms meeting in 1992 and then joined the board around 15 years ago and, after 6 years as Chairman, I am currently the Vice Chairman and also one of the team that organises the coaches to away matches for Cobblers Trust Travel. I am also the organiser of our Club 500 fund raiser.
Shane Webster
I have supported the Cobblers for over 30 years, and now attend games home and away with my 10 year old son. Outside of football, I am a co-director of a digital agency based locally, play squash and spend a lot of time at my allotment! The DrillingCobbler on social media!
Trina Smith
I am the current Treasurer, and have covered the role since 2002.

I have followed the Cobblers since childhood and am proud to be related to one of the Cobblers Founders, A J (Pat) Darnell. I am a season ticket holder and attend home matches with 3 generations of my family and try to get to a few away games when other commitments allow.
Kevin Simons
