Northampton Town Supporters' Trust was formed in January 1992, as a result of a large public meeting attended by over 600 fans. This meeting was called by a group of ordinary supporters, including Rob Marshall, editor of the fanzine What a Load of Cobblers, and Brian Lomax, in response to a financial crisis at the club and a series of misleading statements issued by the then chairman.

Our view at St James Park, Exeter, this afternoon where the Cobblers slipped to defeat but played their part in an entertaining game. Our thanks to all at Exeter City Supporters Trust for their wonderful hospitality and for providing much food for thought about community ownership. Pictured is the impressive Stagecoach Adam Stansfield stand, which was completed last year and is helping the club to move forward.
