The Trust is delighted that the Club has retained its League One status with two games remaining.
We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to all concerned for this noteworthy achievement in what is, increasingly, a very competitive league.
It will be only the fifth time that the club plays three seasons or more above the basement division of the Football League, since the four divisions were introduced in 1958.
The three other occasions are as follows:-
1961-69 (8 seasons)
1987-90 (3 seasons)
2000-03 (3 seasons)
2006-09 (3 seasons)
It is a praiseworthy achievement and the Trust now looks forward to hearing more detail about the Club’s plans for future development, both on and off the field, which will further build on this achievement, firmly help to establish the Club at this level and build towards future success.
