Sixfields stand and land deal
Chairman Andy Roberts addressed the full council meeting on Monday 21 February to outline the Supporters Trust’s position on the Sixfields stand and land deal under negotiation between Northampton Town FC’s owners and West Northamptonshire Council.
We have been following developments with interest and hope for a positive outcome later this month which will enable the club to finally move on.
Happy birthday Northampton Town FC!
Northampton Town FC celebrates its 125th birthday next week and the Trust would like to wish all Cobblers fans a very happy birthday – our town, our club!
Hopefully the team can mark the occasion with a victory over Tranmere Rovers on Saturday
We will be involving Trust members in supporting the club’s big birthday celebrations.
Trust’s 30th anniversary
The Trust of course is also celebrating its 30th anniversary year and we have some exciting plans in the pipeline.
We will be holding a reunion for 1970s Cobblers players in Northampton on Friday 2 September. More details to follow shortly.
We are also partnering with Phipps Brewery who have kindly agreed to produce a Trust Celebration ale later this year.
And we will be commissioning a painting from stadium artist Paul Town to celebrate Northampton Town’s life at Sixfields.
Membership fees review
The board has reviewed its membership fee structure and has agreed to introduce new annual membership fees in the near future.
These will be £10 a year for new members and renewals and £100 a year for a new corporate membership.
We will update further on the structure, and timescales, following the March board meeting.
