The Football Conversation Survey
Thank you to all members of the Northampton footballing public who fed back their thoughts in our Football Conversation.
The results strongly endorsed those of Trust members for the need for reform in football leading to greater sustainability, transparency and accountability of all football clubs.

Draft proposals for North Stand expansion and a fanzone at Sixfields
At a meeting this week, the Trust board heard draft proposals from the Standing At Sixfields and Sixfields Sounds groups about increasing the size of the North Stand at Sixfields stadium and introducing safe standing and a fan zone incorporating live music.
The groups felt their plans, currently at an outline stage, would encourage younger fans to Northampton Town games, enhance the football fan experience before and after a match and create an opportunity to increase club’s revenue outside of match days.
Trust board members Keith Buckby and Shane Webster have agreed to work closely with the groups to bring forward a detailed plan which will then be brought back to the Trust board in future months.
West Northamptonshire Council
The new unitary authority serving West Northamptonshire (WNC) came into being on April 1, with councillor members joining up after the elections on 6 May.
The Trust is writing to WNC chief executive Anna Earnshaw in the hope of setting up an introductory meeting in the near future.
The Asset of Community Value (ACV) which the Trust secured with Northampton Borough Council – covering the stadium, the old athletics track land and the west stand car park – has been transferred over to WNC.
The next board meeting takes place via Zoom on Thursday 13 May. Any member wishing to join the Zoom meeting should email Helen Hickman on email@example.com requesting joining instructions.
The Trust plans to hold an Open Forum for all Cobblers supporters in July.
