Trust Travel tour of First World War battlefields

29th Jun 2018

NTFC Supporters Trust are pleased to announce confirmation of a tour of the First World War Western Front Battlefields.
1918 marked the final year of the war and Northampton Town suffered grievously, losing, in total six players including Walter Tull, player–manager Fred Lessons and Victoria Cross recipient Bernard Vann.
To mark the death of these Cobblers players, a tour has been organized by military historian and guide Jon Cooksey and BBC journalist Graham McKechnie, visiting some of the battlefields where these Northampton Town footballers fought and the cemeteries where they lie today.
Places visited will include Vimy Ridge, Bellenglise, Ramicourt, Bellicourt, Arras War Memorial, Tilloy British Cemetery, Eterpigny, Biefvillers, Pozieres Memorial, The Footballers Memorial at Guillemont, Trones Wood and Dive Copse.
This will take place departing from Sixfields early on Wednesday 10 October and arriving back late evening the following day, Thursday 11 October.
The cost will be £160 per person sharing a twin/double room with a £40 supplement for a single room.
This includes all travel on an executive coach with a toilet, aircon, DVD player and hot drinks facilities, the channel crossing via the Euro Shuttle and one nights bed & breakfast in the Ibis Hotel in Arras, Northern France. A £40 per person deposit will be required on booking with the balance payable by the end of September.
