Clearly all Cobblers fans want to see the East Stand completed, a development that is long overdue after too many years of delay and prevarication by both the club's owners and the local authority.
Therefore the result of the club's poll, seeking approval for its East Stand plans, hardly comes as a great surprise.
But the poll was far too simplistic and one dimensional.
A plan for the club's future viability, which goes far beyond the completion of the stand, is more nuanced.
It is this plan the Supporters Trust will continue to establish, examine and challenge in the weeks ahead as we seek assurances for all supporters that both the owners and the council commit to a healthy future for Northampton Town FC.
