Fan ownership at the Cobblers? Discuss

12th Nov 2018

Fan ownership at Northampton Town FC? Discuss.

The subject of fan ownership will be the main agenda item at a discussion forum which follows Thursday night's NTFC Supporters Trust AGM at Sixfields.

The forum is open to Trust members only - however non-members are welcome to join the forum, provided they sign up to Trust membership on the night.

The AGM takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday 15 November in the stadium's 1897 suite - the forum will follow at around 8pm.

James Mathie and Deborah Dilworth of Supporters Direct, alongside former Wycombe Wanderers chairman and friend of the Trust, Don Woodward, have been invited to the meeting to help inform the discussions.

Andy Roberts, chair of NTFC Supporters Trust, said: "The forum represents an excellent opportunity for Trust members to ask myself and the board questions about our activities over the past year.

"It is vital that we have an open communications channel between the board and the membership. We want our members to tell us what sort of organisation they want NTFC Supporters Trust to be.

"We always look to support the football club as best we can and to give a voice to supporters on issues which affect them directly.

"It has been a difficult year on and off the field for the Cobblers and the Trust wants to ensure that we all have a stable, progressive and community-oriented football club to support in the years ahead.

"We think the time is right to look at fan ownership opportunities at Northampton Town in more detail but please come along to the forum and tell us what you think!"
