Annual General Meeting

On Thursday 16th November NTFC Supporters Limited AGM took place, followed by an Open Forum with guest speaker Tony Clarke (General Manager and Director) or NTFC.

Below is a quick summary of the main points from the AGM:-

The following supporters, due to personal circumstances have retired from the NTFC Supporters Limited board: Phil Laker, Steve Tomlin, Bill Craven, Neil Morris, Julie Kennedy and Tony Gammage. I thank them for their time and effort whilst on the board. All remain firm believers in the Supporters’ Trust movement and remain members.

A third of the Board are required to apply for re-election each year; however the six supporters retiring effectively take up that allocation. As there were 6 nominations received the following supporters were duly elected to the board of NTFC Supporters Limited.

Stuart Dee

Cheryl Byrne

Andy Durrant

Vera Taylor

Lesley Hardwick

Trina Smith

Ongoing Directors are:

Anthony Collett

Dave Linnell

Stuart Taylor

Neil Morrell

Mark Kennedy

Roger Averill

Linda Smith

Vince Smith is continuing as Secretary, the Secretary always remains impartial to the Board.

Up to 2 additional Directors may be co-opted at any Board Meeting of NTFC Supporters Limited, these are people deemed by the board to be of particular use to NTFC Supporters Limited.

Members approved the Supporters’ Charter that NTFC Supporters Limited has launched; this can be found on our website www.ntfctrust.co.uk. We will also try to print this fully in a future programme article.

Members also gave approval to invest up to £1000 in display equipment/kiosk for NTFC Supporters Ltd. We are hoping that we will be able to get most of this covered by sponsorship.

The intention is to give NTFC SL a visible physical presence at home matches and during other events e.g. car boot sales etc. We need to raise the profile of NTFC Supporters Ltd – particularly at Sixfields - among both the non-member fan base and our membership. Having this physical presence will also allow us to increase our communication with non-members as part of the wider marketing effort and provide a service to members e.g. for buying event tickets or asking questions. The graphics would include the names and/or logos of any sponsors who donate over £100 towards the costs. We intend to write to the membership seeking assistance to find potential sponsors for this equipment. If that is successful, we may not have to spend any NTFC SL money. If you would like to have your company name on the display equipment please contact myself, contact details on this page.

Under ‘Any other Business’ we had some interesting discussions about membership fees. Our fees have not changed since we formed in 1992, but most other Trust’s are charging more. Let me know your thoughts on whether these should / could be increased from say £5 to £10, and whether we should include a longer term membership in addition to life membership. Also let me know any ideas you have for incentives we can give new members to join. Note: Any change to the membership fee would only be done by vote at an AGM.
